Authenticity & Quality Assurance
Zefix is committed to supplying automotive spare parts that meet established industry standards for safety, reliability, and performance. In a market environment where counterfeit and substandard automotive components are prevalent, Zefix operates a controlled sourcing and verification framework designed to ensure product authenticity and traceability.
This policy explains how Zefix defines product authenticity, how products are sourced, and what quality standards customers can expect.
1. PRODUCT CATEGORIES SUPPLIED BY ZEFIX
Zefix supplies two primary categories of automotive parts:
(a) OEM Genuine Parts
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts are produced either by the vehicle manufacturer itself or by an approved supplier to the vehicle manufacturer. These parts are manufactured to the specifications required for original factory installation.
OEM parts supplied by Zefix may be packaged under the vehicle brand name or under the original manufacturer’s brand.
(b) Aftermarket Parts
Aftermarket parts are manufactured by independent producers and are designed to meet or exceed industry performance standards. These parts are not branded under the vehicle manufacturer’s trademark but are engineered for compatibility with specific vehicle models.
Zefix does not represent aftermarket parts as OEM unless explicitly stated.
2. SOURCING AND PROCUREMENT STANDARDS
Zefix sources Products through verified suppliers, authorized distributors, and established automotive parts networks.
Supplier selection is based on:
- Verifiable company registration and commercial presence
- Established trade history
- Product documentation and traceability
- Brand authorization where applicable
Zefix does not knowingly source products from informal, unverified, or unauthorized market channels.
Where feasible, Zefix maintains documentation supporting product origin and supply chain traceability.
3. QUALITY CONTROL MEASURES
Before dispatch, Products may undergo basic verification procedures, including:
- Visual inspection for packaging integrity
- Verification of part numbers against order records
- Serial number documentation (where applicable)
Zefix does not modify, alter, or recondition Products prior to sale unless expressly disclosed.
All Products are supplied in the condition received from the authorized supplier.
4. COUNTERFEIT PREVENTION POSITION
Zefix expressly prohibits the sale of counterfeit automotive components.
If a Product is identified as counterfeit through credible manufacturer verification, Zefix will:
- Conduct an internal investigation
- Cooperate with the relevant supplier
- Take corrective action where necessary
Customers who have credible concerns regarding authenticity may submit supporting documentation for review.
However, price differences compared to informal market sellers shall not, in themselves, constitute evidence of counterfeit status.
5. PRODUCT PACKAGING AND APPEARANCE DISCLAIMER
Customers should be aware that:
- Packaging designs may vary between production batches;
- Branding may differ between OEM and aftermarket manufacturers;
- Some genuine OEM parts may be supplied without vehicle-brand packaging but remain original manufacturer components.
Variations in packaging do not automatically indicate counterfeit origin.
6. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR VERIFICATION
Where customers wish to independently verify authenticity, they may:
- Cross-check part numbers with manufacturer databases
- Consult authorized dealerships
- Use manufacturer authentication channels where available
Zefix shall cooperate reasonably in providing order references for verification purposes.
7. WARRANTY AND QUALITY RELATIONSHIP
Authenticity does not guarantee extended durability beyond manufacturer specifications.
Warranty coverage remains subject to the Warranty Policy and manufacturer conditions.
Improper installation, misuse, vehicle faults, or environmental conditions may affect product performance irrespective of authenticity.
8. LIMITATION OF REPRESENTATIONS
Zefix makes no representations beyond those expressly stated regarding:
- Performance enhancements
- Longevity beyond manufacturer standards
- Compatibility outside specified vehicle parameters
All Products are supplied for lawful automotive use only.
9. REPORTING SUSPECTED AUTHENTICITY ISSUES
If a Customer believes a Product may not meet authenticity expectations, they must:
- Submit written notice within a reasonable timeframe;
- Provide supporting evidence;
- Allow inspection of the Product.
Unsubstantiated claims based solely on price comparison or external opinion shall not automatically entitle the Customer to refund.
